Creating an investment account

You need an investment account to invest in the low-cost ETFs offered by Aion Bank NV/SA.

You must be at least 18 years old to open an investment account.

First, add the ETF funds you want to invest in to your portfolio. Then, in the main view, press “Start investing”. To create an investment account, go through the following steps:

  1. Create a username and PIN code
  2. Identify yourself with your bank ID
  3. Confirm your phone number
  4. Answer a few questions
  5. Accept the terms of the investment service provider

The app will guide you step by step.

You can create a username for the ROI application by signing up with Apple or Google. You can also register using another email and set a password for yourself. Please note that the password must be at least 8 characters long.

A PIN code is created in conjunction with the investment account. Please note that the PIN code must be 4–8 characters long. Once set, you can change the PIN code in the application’s settings.

The PIN code identifies you as the user of ROI app so that no one else can access your account.

When creating an investment account, you will need to confirm your phone number. After entering your phone number, press “Send Message”. You will receive a text message with a code in it. Enter the code in the provided field and press “confirm”.

Sometimes it can take several minutes for the text message to arrive.

If you do not receive a text message, press “Send New Message”. If you still do not receive the message, please contact ROI’s customer support via the app’s chat or email us at [email protected].

When you create an investment account, you’ll be asked to verify your email address (unless you’re using Apple or Google Sign-in).

After entering your email address, press “Send Confirmation Message”. We will then send you an email containing a link. Tap the link to confirm your email address. Return to the application to complete the confirmation process. If you did not receive a confirmation message, tap “Send New Confirmation Message”. If you still do not receive an email, please contact ROI’s customer service via the app’s chat or send email to [email protected].

The investment service provider must identify each client in accordance with money laundering and investment services legislation and therefore you’ll be asked questions when creating your account.

Allow yourself 5–10 minutes to create an account. Information collected while creating an investment account is passed on to the investment service provider. We’ll email you when your account has been created and investing can begin.

Aion Bank will open an investment account as soon as possible. Sometimes this can take several days, for example if you create an account on the weekend or during holidays.
